I found these awesome screenshots of Cisco Spectrum Expert over at My80211 and i thought of sharing them here. They show us how 4 different types of interference would look.

I was playing around with a bunch of clean-air APs and a wifi camera running on channel 6-10 and this is the interference pattern produced.
Jennifer Huber has recorded 2 videos which explain how the Cisco Spectrum Expert software works. I would highly recommend watching both the parts(especially the 2nd part) to gain an understanding of how spectrum patterns of interfering devices look like.
